Navigational Directions

  1. The entrance to Swantown Marina begins as you enter Budd Inlet through a mile-wide passage between Dofflemyer Point and Cooper Point, approximately 5.5 miles north of Swantown Marina.
  2. Approaching from the north, simply round Dofflemyer Point and head south towards Olympia, prominently marked by the State Capital building in the background.
  3. Continue past Olympia Shoal (preferably on your port side) and pick up the 28-foot dredged and buoyed channel that leads towards Olympia. A spoil bank from channel dredging lies east of the entrance to Olympia Harbor.
  4. At the junction channel marker, a piling marker with a square green over red day marker, follow the east (left) leg to Swantown Marina and Boatworks.
  5. The entrance channel is marked by a series of piling mounted day markers and narrows as you approach the first floating structure, the breakwater.
