Len Faucher

Len Faucher is a graduate from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York where he earned a BS in Marine Transportation, a commission as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserves, and his unlimited tonnage third mate’s license. While sailing on various cargo ships, Len earned his MBA from the University of New Hampshire and began working shore-side as a ship scheduler for Hess Corporation and later with the ship broker house C.R. Weber Company. In 2014, Len’s family moved to Olympia, Washington to be closer to his wife’s family and begin raising their children. 

Len began working as the Marine Terminal Director for the Port of Olympia in January of 2015 where he successfully fulfilled the commission goals of diversifying cargo portfolio by adding dairy cattle exports to Vietnam, organic grain imports from Turkey, and a gold ore import from Europe while maintaining strong relationships with existing log tenants Weyerhaeuser and Holbrook. 

Len lives in Olympia with his wife Margaret and three young children Charlotte, Elizabeth, and Nicholas.  Len is active in the community serving on the boards of Gateway Rotary, Hands On Children’s Museum, Leadership Thurston County, and Olympia World Affairs Council as well as participating in charity work with Homeless Backpacks and the BBB event with Gateway Rotary. In his spare time, Len enjoys watching and playing sports, studying business, reading, hiking, skiing, and running.
