Administrative Services Director

Experienced Leader in the Public Sector

Jeri Sevier is the Administrative Services Director for the Port of Olympia.

With more than 35 years’ experience in the public sector and over 12 years’ experience in Human Resources, Jeri brings an extensive background in public sector Administrative and Human Resource leadership. She is currently the Administrative Services Director at the Port of Olympia. As Administrative Services Director, she oversees the Administration, Finance, Communications and Marketing, Information Services, Human Resources, and Risk Management.

Jeri reports to the Port’s Executive Director and oversees 9 employees serving the workforce of 49 through the full array of Administrative functions including Talent Acquisition; Organization Development; Talent Development and Diversity; Employee Relations, HR Communications, HR Information Systems; Compensation; Benefits and Employee Recognition; Employee Health and Safety; Public Records; Accounting; Payroll; Fixed Assets; Financial Planning, Information Technology, Risk Management; Investment and Bond Activities; Policy Development and Adherence; and Communications and Marketing. Jeri joined the Port in 1998.

Prior to the 22 years she’s served at the Port, she worked at the State Superintendent for Public Instruction (OSPI) for 13 years in various Administrative and Executive roles for the elected official.

Jeri is currently on the Board of Directors of Enduris Washington, serving her ninth year. Sevier also volunteers her time as Treasurer for a non-profit organization in her community. In addition, her family owns a small business and she provides financial oversight and administrative services.
