Port of Olympia Awarded FAA Grant for Zero-Emission Vehicles and EV Charging Station

OLYMPIA — The Port of Olympia is pleased to announce it has been awarded a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant totaling $129,810. This funding will be allocated towards the purchase of two zero-emission vehicles and the installation of a dual-port electric vehicle (EV) charging station at the Olympia Regional Airport. The grant agreement was finalized on September 6, 2024.

This award represents a significant advancement in the ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices at the Port. By integrating zero-emission vehicles into the airport operations, the Port aims to reduce their carbon footprint and promote cleaner air quality for the community. Additionally, the airport continues to look for opportunities to add more charging stations for public use in the future.
