We are pleased to welcome Olympia Community Sailing (OCS) as one of our newest Port tenants. Over the past few years, OCS has outgrown its location at the Olympia Yacht Club and has temporarily operated some programs out of Swantown Marina. Beginning in June, they will transition all of their programs to Swantown on a full-time basis.

The new location at Swantown will offer more space and amenities including:

• A spacious covered area for training and gatherings
• A large storage yard for boat storage and repairs
• Secured gated access

This move will enable OCS to continue growing and expanding its programs, with the long-term goal of opening a community boating center offering kayak and small boat rentals to make water access more accessible to all.

About Olympia Community Sailing

Olympia Community Sailing is a nonprofit sailing program that has served the greater Thurston County community since 2019.

The organization offers a range of learn-to-sail programs and competitive racing opportunities for all ages and skill levels, from youth and teens to adults. Its classes foster confidence, teamwork, self-reliance, leadership, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

As a community-focused organization, Olympia Community Sailing is committed to expanding public access to the water. It strives to build an inclusive and diverse sailing community, welcoming participants of all backgrounds and abilities. To make its programs more accessible, the organization offers scholarships and flexible payment plans.
