Partner Spotlight
Olympia AHA Museum & Visitor Center

We’re excited to feature the Olympia Arts & Heritage Alliance Museum & Visitor Center as one of our Partner Spotlights for the month of May.

Their mission is to offer a destination and gathering place to learn about Olympia’s uniquely rich arts, cultures and history.

Centrally located on the corner of Columbia & State, Olympia AHA Museum opened its doors in July 2025 as Olympia’s first history museum. In less than a year, they have hosted over 6,000 visitors from 40 states and 20 countries.

Funding for Olympia AHA Museum is made possible through a combination of Woman standing in Olympia AHA store with merchandise in the backgroundgrants, visitor donations, programs, fundraising and numerous partner sponsors, such as the Port of Olympia.

With the help of trained volunteers and museum docents, Olympia AHA Museum offers programs, exhibits and events, free walking tours of the city, insider tips on where to shop and eat, maps and information on local arts and landmarks, and a museum store—a great place to purchase Port of Olympia-branded hoodies and shirts!

Future plans include the creation of a dedicated maritime heritage walking tour highlighting Port history, waterfront industry and recreational and commercial maritime themes.

Olympia AHA Museum is free and open to the public year-round Sunday through Thursday, so if you haven’t already, be sure to stop by soon to experience all that they have to offer.
