The Board of Commissioners of the Port of Olympia and
Squaxin Island Tribal Council Members will attend a Joint Meeting on
Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
Purpose of Meeting:
The Port of Olympia Commission and the Squaxin Island Tribal Council
hold an annual joint meeting to maintain government-to-government relations,
share information, and discuss matters of mutual interest.

Welcome and Roundtable Introductions
Annual Government-to-Government Check-In: Port and Tribal Updates. Commissioners and Tribal Council members will share general updates on current and planned activities of each government that may be of mutual interest, which may include:
– Port projects, operations, and properties
– Economic development initiatives in Thurston and Mason Counties
– Environmental, habitat, and water quality matters affecting South Puget Sound
– Cultural resources and tribal consultation on Port projects and planning
– Opportunities for future coordination and partnership
