After years of dedication and collaboration, we are excited to announce the official groundbreaking of the newly restored historic tugboat, Parthia! This project is a testament to the power of partnership, involving the incredible efforts of the Sound Sound Maritime Heritage Association, a lineup of caring community members and Thomas Architecture Studios. Together, we’ve navigated site planning, canopy design, constructability reviews, and fundraising initiatives to bring this vision to life.
With the support of our community members, we are pleased to unveil this new attraction, which will serve as an extension of The Olympia Farmers Market and not only enhance our market district but also celebrate our region’s rich maritime history.
The Port of Olympia is proud to contribute to this project through a land lease, adding yet another community benefit to the port peninsula and your beautiful waterfront.
